Put a generous amount of white glue on your plate´s back.

Cover the plate completely with glue. Use a brush or your fingers. Let it dry completely . This one took 12 hours.

It is complely dry now. It is clear again. It is ready for you to begin your design.

Choose your pictures. You can see here a hibyscus from a napkin, a humming-bird from a magazine, some butterflies from a gift paper and three pieces of tissue paper.

Arrange your pictures before you start gluing them. When you are happy with your design you do it.

You need a bucket of water and a very soft brush.
|
Put the cuts on the back and start gluing using the brush and water. Use the brush very gently. The glue will turn liquid again. Try to eliminate any wrinkles. Do not forget to work with extreme care or you can ruin the pictures. Let them dry again .

This is the front of your plate. The glue is liquid again.

Apply the tissue paper . Use more glue if you need . Work with your brush and water again. Let it dry.

|
Apply one or two coats of white craft acrylic paint on the back. Glue two layers of tissue paper or one layer of a any other paper of your choice. Apply 5 coats of acrylic varnish and 2 coats of clear oil-based varnish.

Paint the rim with Krylon gold leafing pen.
|
Sign your name and show your masterpiece to your friends. They won't believe it is just paper.
